MSI Financial is one of a very small number of companies with direct access to high-quality portfolios of REOs and Notes.  This did not happen overnight.  It took more than a year of learning the ins and outs of the REO & Note business and meeting the right people before MSI Financial could establish the relationships needed to acquire and offer portfolios of REOs and Notes from the truly legitimate seller sources in the industry.  Do not be fooled by intermediaries and alleged seller representatives.
   

The Problem: The two biggest problems in the REO & Note portfolio business are (1) too many intermediaries and (2) wide-spread distribution of non-exclusive portfolio Tapes.  (A “Tape” is the document that lists the properties contained in a portfolio).  Like many of our buyer clients, MSI Financial quickly became fed up with the dizzying number of middlemen demanding a commission in a transaction and the non-exclusive portfolios being shopped by unscrupulous brokers and middlemen.  With too many parties involved in each proposed transaction, the value and quality of the portfolios was extremely poor.  This was due mainly to the cumulative “commission” fees that were being demanded by the long line of intermediaries.  In addition, because non-exclusive Tapes were being sent to so many potential buyers who immediately cherry-picked the best properties in the portfolio, the quality of the remaining portfolios was extremely poor.  Even when a portfolio had sufficient quality to justify buying it, it was often no longer available by the time we finally made it through the daisy-chain of “brokers” to speak with the actual seller.  In short, MSI Financial quickly learned that chasing these non-exclusive, phantom Tapes was simply not worth our time or money. 

 

The Solution: To solve the problem of too many intermediaries and cherry-picked portfolio assets, the principles of MSI Financial created REAL 360, LLC, backed it with $100,000,000 in funding, and spent more than a year establishing relationships with legitimate, direct and substantial sources of REOs and Notes.  By doing this, we are able to deal directly with the largest Note & REO sources in the United States, purchase custom portfolios for our buyer clients and provide our buyer clients with tremendous portfolio value as a result of the bulk volume discounts from our seller sources.
